**Family message thread (Harker family group)**
**Cathy (daughter, Toronto):** Has anyone been to Dad's? Pendant says he's fine but the app shows no movement since yesterday.
**Mark (son, local):** I went round at lunch. Front door locked, bolted. Can't see him through the window, net curtains are up. The dog's sitting in the hall, just staring at the door.
**Cathy:** Did you call the police?
**Mark:** Yes. They're coming. Responder's on the way too.
**Cathy:** Mark. Is the pendant still in the house? Can you check where it is?
**Mark:** It's on the dining table. Dad's left it there. The screen says "check-in OK." It's been on the table since yesterday.
**Cathy:** Then who's wearing the other one?

**Care coordinator's note (Helen Brook, 27 Oct)**
Mr. Harker was found in his armchair in the living room, sitting upright, eyes open, looking at the television. He was calm. He said he was sorry for the trouble, and that he'd been asked to keep the house quiet for his wife, who had only just gone to sleep.

He has no wife. His wife died in 2011.

He asked to be taken to bed. We helped him up. The pendant on his wrist showed *Check-in OK*. Its location was the bedroom. Its battery was at 100%.

Mr. Harker was moved to a residential unit in Crowley on 3 Nov. He wears no pendant there. The night nurse says he still checks in at four in the morning, by name, and she signs the form each time, because the form requires it.
