*Please call if you see her. She's very friendly but she won't come when called. She likes to sit in windows.*

**Ken R.:** Saw a cat like this on the fence at number 11. Didn't look like she was lost. Looked like she was checking.
**Dorothy Vane:** Thank you Ken. She does that.
**Sophie T.:** My lodger says she's seen her in our back garden every morning, sitting on the wall, facing the house with the blue door. The one that's been empty since spring.

*Still missing. Please keep an eye out. Her collar has a tag with my number and the words "home is where I'm kept."*

**Ken R.:** Sighting: the top windowsill of the flat above the chemist on Church Street. Cat was looking down into the street. Seemed to know which bus stop I was waiting at.
**Anna P.:** Saw her three nights running. She sits on the bonnet of a parked car and watches the terraced houses, one at a time, like she's counting the lit windows.
**Dorothy Vane:** I don't think that's my cat any more. My cat wouldn't go out after dark.

*Her collar has come off. Please don't bring her in if you find her. Please call me first. I need to know what she's been eating.*

**Sophie T.:** She's in my hallway. I came back from the shops and she was sitting at the top of the stairs. She won't come down. She just keeps looking at the door of my spare room, the way you'd look at a door you've been locked out of.
**Ken R.:** Cat's on my windowsill again. This time there's a second cat on the floor below her, the same grey, same bib, same notch in the ear, looking up at her as if asking to be let in.
**Dorothy Vane:** Two cats?
**Ken R.:** Dorothy, I think the second one is you.

**Name:** Biscuit · **Found at:** 18 Quarry Lane · **Posted by:** Mark Dane
*Grey tabby found in the back bedroom of 18 Quarry Lane, which has been unoccupied since the summer. She's inside, safe. She's not coming out.*
**Comments (6)**
**Dorothy Vane:** That's my house. I didn't leave the back window open.
**Mark Dane:** The back window is open. The room is very warm. The cat is in the middle of the bed, on top of a folded blanket, and she's purring at the wall.
**Dorothy Vane:** Please don't move her. She's been pining for a long time. She needs to finish her nap.

*She's been found. She's been found many times. Please stop sending me pictures of her at the window. I've seen them all. I know exactly where she is.*

**Ken R.:** Dorothy, is that a photo of your kitchen? There's a cat in the window and a woman standing behind it, looking out at the street. You're wearing the same cardigan.
**Dorothy Vane:** That's just me, Ken. I've been standing at the window the whole time.

**Final message from Dorothy Vane (28 Oct)**
I put my own collar on this morning, with my number on it. I've sat on the windowsill and I can see the whole of Quarry Lane. The cat's on the bed in the back room, asleep, under the blanket. She doesn't need me to call her.
Dorothy Vane has moved in with her sister in Harrow and asked the board to close the post. The sister says the cat's bowl was washed and put away on the first night. It had already been clean.
